Exploring the Limits of Controlled Markovian Quantum Dynamics with Thermal Resources

چکیده

Our aim is twofold: First, we rigorously analyse the generators of quantum-dynamical semigroups thermodynamic processes. We characterise a wide class GKSL-generators for quantum maps within thermal operations and argue that every infinitesimal generator (a one-parameter semigroup of) Markovian belongs to this class. completely classify visualise them their non-Markovian counterparts case single qubit. Second, use description in framework bilinear control systems reachable sets coherently controllable with switchable coupling bath. The core problem reduces studying hybrid system ("toy model") on standard simplex allowing two types evolution: (i) instantaneous permutations (ii) $d$-stochastic maps. generalise upper bounds set toy model invoking new results thermomajorisation. Using tools theory fully these as well stabilisable states exemplified by exact qutrit systems.

Quantum dynamics with non-Markovian fluctuating parameters.

A stochastic approach to the quantum dynamics randomly modulated in time by a discrete state non-Markovian noise, which possesses an arbitrary nonexponential distribution of the residence times, is developed. The formally exact expression for the Laplace-transformed quantum propagator averaged over the stationary realizations of such N -state non-Markovian noise is obtained. The theory possesse...

Exploring the Limits of a Quantum Refrigerator

Figure 1: Classical and quantum refrigerators. a) In a macroscopic cooling cycle, a compressor C and and an expansion valve E are used to locally change the pressure of a gas circulating through a closed pipe system. In this way, it is possible to pump heat from a cold to a hot reservoir, both held at constant temperature Tc and Th > Tc, respectively. b) A superconducting qubit driven by a time...

The Langevin equation from Markovian Quantum Central Limits

We establish the Langevin equation for the problem of Markovian approximations to the action of a Bose quantum field reservoir R on a quantum mechanical system S as a functional quantum central limit theory. In particular, we study the effect of the time-dependent interaction Υ (λ) t = E11⊗a + t (λ) a − t (λ) +E10⊗a + t (λ)+E01⊗a − t (λ) +E00⊗1 + R on the joint states space hS ⊗ hR where the a ...
